With the introduction of the new SCADA control software GENESIS 64 for the Center for Psychiatry South Württemberg (ZfP), MESALOGIC took on a responsible project.

The ZfP offers a comprehensive support system for people with mental illnesses. It relies on innovative treatment methods and an infrastructure with high technical standards. Modern building management systems (BMS) are essential for the group's 157 buildings.

The challenge

Central control of the locations between Stuttgart and Lake Constance was hardly possible with the old BMS system:

15,000 data points
500 system displays
No real-time data
No HTML5 support

The outdated infrastructure could no longer meet the growing demands – a modern, high-performance solution was urgently needed to ensure efficiency and transparency across all locations.

Which solution does MESALOGIC offer?

The MESALOGIC Suite gave the ZfP’s facility management a modern upgrade.
All connected buildings can now be monitored and controlled in real time from the central site in Bad Schussenried.

Key Features:

Alarm Management: Clear assignment of warning messages
Digital Equipment Log: Record changes, notes, and comments in a central tool with email notifications
Document Management: Store photos and PDFs directly within the system
Scalability: New systems can be easily integrated via the MESALOGIC asset configuration

The Result

Despite the complexity – with 15,000 data points and 500 system displays – the system migration went smoothly.
The ZfP now benefits from a highly available, transparent, and future-proof infrastructure.
The suite already offers an HTML5 perspective today – and MESALOGIC remains a long-term partner.
